Keep Calm and Throw It On
My friend Christe asked me write a guest feature for her blog and I thought I would share it on my blog as well. Please check out Christe's blog here, she is the best DIY-er I know. I hope you find this post helpful for your next shopping trip!
Every girl needs at least one dress that they can simply throw on and walk out the door while still looking polished and put together. This dress is your best friend when you've hit the snooze button too many times or don't have a second to spare. Here are five examples of the on-the-run dresses in my wardrobe that I feel are flattering to all different body types.
This dress is a bit more on the trendier side because
of the minimalist style. There are so many different ways to wear this dress; I
don’t even know where to begin. I’ve worn it with sneakers, ankle boots,
sandals, platforms, etc. The versatility quickly made it one of my favorite
pieces in my wardrobe. This t-shirt dress from Urban Outfitters can be found
here.
This Madewell dress is a bit more conservative and
professional, making it perfect for an interview or chic office attire for the
internship you landed. The best part of this dress is the discreet pockets. I purchased this dress a few years ago from Madewell but
a similar style can be found here and here.

1. American Apparel Rayon Babydoll Dress
The cut and make of this dress is universally the most flattering. This dress comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. The simplicity of this dress makes it easy to dress up with heels or dress down with a pair of sneakers. The American Apparel Rayon Babydoll Dress can be found here.
3. Madewell Stripe Dress
4. Free People Sundown Babydoll Dress
This flowy dress is a recent purchase from Free People will also be a staple piece for fall paired with tights and a pair of ankle boots. The hidden pockets are a blessing; let's be real--all dresses should have pockets! The back of the dress features t-strap cut out detailing which can be seen here.
5. Anthropologie Striped Duet Dress
When I first bought this dress, I don't think I took it off for a week. This piece is incredibly soft and the trapeze cut makes it extra breezy, perfect for the summer heat. The back features a simple strap detail that brings a unique touch to the dress. The Anthropologie Striped Duet Dress can be found here (and on sale!)

Tank, plaid maxi, bra, + sunglasses - Urban Outfitters
Shorts - American Apparel
Necklace - Madewell
Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell
I immediately fell in love with this plaid maxi top as soon as I saw it. This summer, I've been having a lot of fun with the long-over-short trend and I can't wait to see how this piece plays a part in my fall wardrobe. This tank is by Project Social T and I've just been living in it, I wore it so much that I also bought it in black. It is incredibly soft and I would recommend any of Project Social T's tops.

Hustle hard since Fisher Price

Adidas Shorts + Top - Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters
Shoes - Office
Even before the Adidas x Farm collab was released, I was lusting over this two-piece set. The floral pattern is just beautiful and I'm in love with the vibrant colors. This is probably the most colorful outfit I've worn in months; most days I'm still on that all black everything. My sneakers are from my summer in Scotland last year so it's always a pleasure to pull them out of the closet and back on my feet.

Sunglasses - Ray-Ban
Lipstick - Lorde x MAC
I've taken photos in this outfit before but it is is one of my favorites and wanted to take on a more summery version of the ensemble. This midi skirt is one of favorite purchases ever from Forever 21 and has held up really well since I got it about 3 years ago. It is a classic piece that will never go out of style.
